"Virgin to Love"

Image
Image: https://gencraft.com/generate  “ Virgin to love ” sounds a bit strange, Right? But this phrase is what my girlfriend used to explain how her love for me differs from her past loves. Frankly speaking, I had no clue about what she meant by this, and it was the first week of our dating. We were pretty fast in communicating our feelings to each other and even faster were our hearts feeling those feelings. And that is what I think is one of the meanings of “virgin to love”.  We both have had our fair share of love , but what we felt for each other was new. And ya ya! I know every love is unique and feels new. So what is differentiating our love from other ‘new loves’? I could not comprehend it in words for a long time, but then I started understanding the little things that made our situation a “virgin to love” situation.  In the past, when I had been in love, it was more of one-sided love from my side. The other person had considered me anything but love. So eve...

Can Love Happen More Than Once ?

Image
Image:  Image Creator from Microsoft Bing If you are familiar with Bollywood, you must have heard this dialogue from the movie “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai … Aur pyar.. . Ek baar hi hota hai” (We live once, we die once, we get married once … and love also happens only once). Well, ya, we have gotten only one life, so that part is genuine. But getting married only once, we all know how that is working out for many people. But the thing said about love is partly true (only partially true.) What do you think? I was talking to an acquaintance on Instagram a couple of weeks ago about love and relationships when I said that the kind of love where we even believe that the sun rises from the west and sets in the east, that there are twenty-five hours in a day; the “blind love” happens only once and I have experienced that once. And I think the notion that “ Love happens only once” is for that kind of love because I find it ver...

Debunking Myths About Vagina

Image
From being called Cherry, Flower, Lady Garden, Fanny, Pussy, Vajayjay, and whatnot, the vagina has many myths associated with it. (Inside info, what most people call a vagina is a vulva. If you knew this already, then a high-five for paying attention to your high school's human reproduction/puberty chapter.) By the way, what nickname do you use for your vulva/vagina?  [The term vagina will be used to refer to both the vulva and vagina in this article]           [Some of the images used in this blog are created by AI. Even the AI was disgusted by the myths and hence the absurd images. I could change the images, but maybe seeing the weird, absurd images will help to get the myths out of our system.]  When it comes to myths associated with women, one will notice that they are primarily rooted in the male perspective, misogyny, and patriarchal school of thought. Some myths from the seventeenth century and earlier are still circulating. One of the r...

The Touch

I shifted to Goa a couple of days ago for my studies. My family had come to drop me off and see the university campus. They left on the fifth day and I, finally had the night to myself, where I could prepare for the next day. My girlfriend was coming to visit me and stay with me for a couple of days. We have been dating for one and a half months and although people would call it new, we have gotten pretty serious about each other. We still didn’t label our bond as a relationship because we wanted to do the honours of asking each other out in person; even though I had started calling her my girlfriend/partner just after three days of dating; we still didn’t use the term relationship. And somehow that made everything even more exciting and deep. I had a few hours before she arrived and I was dead nervous. I mean, it was the first time I was in a romantic companionship; I didn’t want to fuck it up; and the major reason for my worry was that I fuck up in trying not to fuck up. I am such a ...

My Emotion

The title is very close to my heart as it explains what I feel for this one person in my life. Many had tried to name our relationship, but none has come even near, leave alone giving this beautiful bond any name. And I haven't yet named whatever we had because no tag can justify the feelings involved. To be with someone when there is a lot of love and more love is awesome, but to be with someone where there is more passion and anger is an altogether different level of beauty. And by anger, I don't mean the toxic one, but the anger that cries out loud about the love, care, concern and respect for the other person. I believe there is no emotion pure than anger and if you can express your anger to someone and despite everything you blabber out, if you both can still find yourselves comfortable and in love with each other, then you have got the best relationship any human can have. And it should be from both sides. Your way of expressing anger can differ, but as long as you can c...

I Miss You

"I miss you" These words are hollow  As these don't justify  What feelings my heart follows.  You are not some random person  That I got to like You are my world That gets my heart rate at a hike. You have other priorities And I am not even an option But I just pray That you too are a priority of your priorities That when the hard time comes You don't have to face it alone, But if such a situation arises That you are left alone Just remember You are not just a random person That I got to like You are my world That brings me the light... (~Sakshi)  This creation can use a lot of touch-ups, but I want to keep it like this only. Because it explains how I feel when the people I prioritize over everything, leave, even without saying goodbyes. It's human nature to feel emotional, angry and frustrated when such things happen, but it is also important that we remember it was we who loved them and it was us who prioritized them. So, we can't blame those who left becaus...
